HomePod, Apple's new Smart Speaker.

Apple welcomes a new member of its family, Homepod, the wireless speaker. It is now available to order online from January 26 in the US, UK, and Australia. It is arriving at your nearest apple store on February 9, 2017.

Homepod will be primarily driven by Siri. The intelligent personal assistant has gained deep knowledge by understanding the music taste buds of users. With Siri, Homepod can even handle phone calls. It seems you can easily transfer phone calls from iPhone to Homepod using Handoff. Even you can send messages just using your voice. It does not end here. You can also set the timer, check news update, traffic and weather. HomePod will utilize the data from your iCloud account.

Homepod is also made sensible to various gestures for playback control. The top surface area of the 7 inches tall device will respond to touch, hold and tap gestures. Tapping the top surface will play or pause the audio track. On Triple tap, HomePod will play your previous audio. Whereas, on double tap, it will play the next track. You can touch and hold to get in contact with Siri.

The device is wrapped with mesh fabric like that of Google home. It has seven tweeter array around the base. This helps to evenly spread sound throughout the room. It provides directional sound control and also helps to restore richness of original sound quality. The high excursion woofer at the top surface area gives deep bass to the sound. The six-microphone array sits in the middle of the device. It helps to detect your voice anywhere in your room and connect it to Siri. Powered by Apple-designed A8 chip, it helps to detect the space around the device which helps to automatically adjust the audio.

HomePod works with Apple Music subscription. A new update will come up late this year with multi-room audio. If the HomePod is in your drawing room you can ask Siri to play a song in the dining room or you can opt for the same song at sync. Coming to privacy, it is no way behind. All the requests made are encrypted before it reaches Apple. Moreover, the data is also anonymized. With these privacy features and its built quality, it stands out amongst its competitors like Google and Amazon.

We're here ready to take a look at Samsung's latest device, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and tell you everything that it brings to the table considering this is the ninth generation of an already high powered line of Smartphone's. The phone basically looks exactly like the Galaxy S8 from last year except for one major difference. We've been complaining about the placement of the fingerprint scanner of the Galaxy S8 since it came out. So for the Galaxy S9, Samsung fixed it. They moved it from next to the camera, to below the camera which is way easier to reach even on the larger model. Now otherwise they are very similar design. You've got a 5.8-inch display on the S9, 6.2-inch display on the S9 plus.
